Fun Times with Cecilia Mae!

I think we were so happy and excited to spend time with our little lady after we got out of the hospital that we neglected the blog a little bit. So here goes......

Everything is going great! We heard from a lot of people that Cecilia would be like a brand new baby after the surgery, but I didn't really believe them. Well, guess what, she is still the same person, just with a lot more energy. Which is unbelievably great! She smiles more, plays more, does more baby work outs. And she cries more too, not more often, but she has the energy to sustain it a little longer now.

Our doctor's appointments have slowed down now a bit, our last one was with her developmental pediatrician, which was really nice. They evaluated how she is developing and gave us some exercises to do with her. Right now we are really working on getting her to sit up, look around and play with toys using more fine motor skills. The sitting up starts from the head down, so we will support her sitting upright, except for her head and neck and get her to look at us and her surroundings. It's fun and amazing to watch her develop.

She is having a lot of firsts right now too. She went on her first trip to the Ocean with Sara and Aunt Amie who also took her on her first trip to the Bins. We try and take her wherever we go, so if we are going to a party, she is going with us. She may sleep most of the time but everyone get to meet her and she gets to interact with different people.
