I'm sitting in our hospital room hanging out with Cecilia right now. Sara is off with her mom doing fun stuff around town, it's been really nice having her here this week, helping take care of our crew at home and just being there for us.
Tuesday was pretty great. Once we found out her surgery was successful we were feeling awesome. Tuesday night was a little rough and I felt really bad for her nurse, Conrad, who was trying to wean her off of a lot of her medications to get ready to take out her e-tube in the morning.

Once the e-tube was out we were able to hold her and it felt like we had our baby back. She would look up at us and smile and she started to eat pretty well too.Wednesday was just really great, Cecilia was eating well and we felt like we were on top of the world.
Thursday we had a setback and sometimes it feels like when we get one thing fixed something else pops up.
It's been an interesting couple of days and it kind of reminds me of our time in the NICU. We have really good days followed by setbacks, but as Cecilia's cardiologist, Dr. Hoyer said the other morning, she is doing really well for a kid who just had open heart surgery on Tuesday.
