Cecilia is a whole gigantic month old today!
We made it a month with a baby! :) !
We all feel this way but only she gets to embrace the urge- we are just a leeetle tired...
Here's a Youtube link of a cute Cecilia video- I couldn't get it to embed for some reason

Well now- There's not a ton to say- she's been doing really well and she's really cute and she poos a lot... She has a really cool spinning prism in the window of her nursery and when the sun hits it the rainbows start spinning around thanks to the little solar powered motor. She started to watch them on the wall from her crib and it made me so happy she noticed! Grandma Edith had one in her dining room and it reminds me of all the great women that are present in the beautiful little details of life, here and gone alike.
Momma, AKA Granny, visited for a week and left just Sunday- which was super sad- I miss you Momma!!! They became such good friends! But it was a really good visit- she was super helpful and put up with my slightly frazzled self. It made for a good transition from the NICU to home- she stayed the perfect amount of time for a really good visit! We are now just getting used to manning this operation just the two of us- the dogs aren't much help yet... Although, I think in the future they certainly will be on floor cleanup at least.
My best buddy Kelly also visited from Denver- She helped Momma at the grocery and now we can eat!
Well- I went a little crazy at the store yesterday and it totally happened... At the checkout the clerk asked me if I had just had a baby (Mark had Cecilia at home) and I said yes! She's almost a month now- I thought she asked because I was buying breast milk freezer storage bags but I then realized back at the car- after I pushed my shopping cart full of impulse food while ravenously eating a hershey bar- that I must have started leaking in line... you know what I mean... Two awesome wet spots where they just should not be... Oh lactation!
Let me try to think back a little and see if there are any notable moments...
Oh! She poo-sprayed me the first week home! That was something... Just when you think she's done filling her pants... bam! Poo-spray! Pants and shirt were hit- she missed my hair thank goodness!
She also had her first pediatrician appointment- she's growing! She may not be growing quite as fast as they'd like her to but it is happening and we aren't going backwards so that's rad. She doesn't have another pediatrician appt until she is 2 months old- I thought we may be at the doctor a lot but really she is on a pretty regular schedule.
She and I have started going to lactation/nutrition appointments so we can talk feeding and growth. We both have to check in at the hospital which is funny because they ask me at the desk if I am Sara or Cecilia! Aside from that there's not much out of the ordinary. She eats every 3-4 hours and takes about 3 oz- today she was a little slow and tired but she still fell in the middle of her range for min/maximum. I'm sure I'm missing something but I'm tired! Enjoy these pictures instead of my ramblings!
xoxo Sara
So many pictures! Get comfortable!
***Some of these are sideways and I'm sorry- too tired to figure out why or how to fix...
