Today is so over! YAYA!!! Cecilia is doing well- sleeping comfortably and we are cozy in the PICU room with her. I want to just say THANK YOU to you all for all your support both in person and over the magical energy space!
We made it to the hospital this morning super early and they got started with the little C. She got some midazolam, gabapentin and tylenol as her pre-medications before they wheeled her off in her big bed down the hall. Let me tell you- that was so hard to not follow holding onto the bars of the crib-bed with my feet dragging behind. I know you can all picture it...
We went up to the fancy 5th floor family waiting area and camped out there for the day. We had a few updates throughout the day and we finally got to go in and see her at about 5pm. (We watched tremors, part of tomb raider and some naked-dating on VH-1...TV is garbage and so rad!)
She's still on the ventilator and has a plethora of tubes and monitoring equipment about her person. She totally is ready to wake up and walk out of here though- the medical team found the perfect drug concoction to get her comfortably snoozing, so I'm hopeful we all get a good night's rest. They are planning on taking her off the ventilator tomorrow morning.
I'm pretty tired so this is a short update- more later.
